My piano has been in storage. What should I expect?
Storage is unkind to pianos, particularly unconditioned storage. Expect pitch to have dropped a long way and expect glue joints and the action to need attention. Whether that adds up to a rebuild depends on the instrument, and we will look properly before saying.
Can you handle a concert instrument?
Yes. Concert and performance pianos are judged on tuning stability and action regulation above all, and both are core rebuild work. Our reference list includes orchestras, theatres and museums.
Do you provide documentation for insurance?
We appraise instruments and can document condition and value for insurance or an estate. Say what you need when you enquire so we can capture it while the piano is with us.
Who moves the instrument?
Washington is well beyond our own truck's range, so we facilitate the move with our partner piano movers and coordinate the entire job. You deal with one company throughout.
